Q: How do you work?
A:
We generally arrive 90 minutes before the ceremony to get set up and record
some the wedding preparations. We use three cameras during the ceremony and
one camera for the preparations and reception. We work 4-5 hours (with
breaks,
usually during the reception), but you can book us to stay longer.
Q: How much does it cost to book you for
longer than four hours?
A:
$150 per extra hour or portion of an extra hour.
Q: Where do you stand during the ceremony?
A:
We try to be very discrete when shooting weddings. We work with the bridal
couple
and the officiator to make sure that we get the shots we need without
compromising the
sanctity of the ceremony. Often we will have one remote camera up on or near the
altar,
a second midway on right side and the third in back. We move much less than your
still photographer. With only one camera they must keep moving around.
Q: Do you use wireless microphones?
A:
Wireless Microphone
hidden on the groom’s lapel during the
ceremony for optimum audio clarity. Whenever possible, we
also try to plug
into the church's audio system. This usually
offers us the most complete,
echo-free audio transmission, since the church
is usually mixing audio from
several different sources (the minister's
microphone,
the singer's microphone,
the lectern microphone, prerecorded music, etc.)
At the beach the groom's lapel mic work best for capturing your voices
over the sound of the waves and gulf breezes.
Q: Do you add in music to the wedding videos?
A:
Yes. We have a selection of royalty paid music that we use and our brides love.
Copyright restrictions, keep us from supplying popular music for the wedding
videos we sell.
Q: When do I get my video?
A:
Generally our clients receive their videos in four to six weeks. During
our busy
months we might require additional time. We will advise you if more time
is needed.
Q: How many copies of my wedding will I
receive?
A:
With our complete edit package we will provide a DVD copy for your mothers,
grandmothers and all your bridesmaids. Up to 20 with our full edit.
Q: Do I get copies of the raw video that you
shoot?
A:
You may purchase the raw footage of everything we shoot @
$40 per roll transferred to DVD or $50 per roll to MiniDV.
Q: Do you shoot rehearsal dinners? Can you put
together a photo montage?
A:
Absolutely. We shoot 3 cameras and edit directly to DVD.
Q: Do you travel outside the Emerald Coast of
N.W. Florida?
A:
Yes, we are happy to service clients from around the area and even
nearby states. While we do not charge for the driving time we do add
a mileage
fee of 75 cents a mile for out of town assignments. We will
also bill you for overnight accommodations if drive time is over one hour.
Q: How do I hire you?
A:
Upon your request we will hold your wedding date while waiting for your $250
nonrefundable deposit and we will reserve a video crew for
your wedding date.
A reservation is not booked until we receive your deposit.
Q: When do I pay you?
A:
All video production must be paid in full 14 days in advance.
We
do offer an option allowing you to pay first for
the camera work,
then wait until you have more in your budget to do the finish editing.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A:
Only through PayPal:
www.PayPal.com to
ray@coasttocoastvideo.com
Q: What kind of experience do you have?
A: We have been shooting weddings in the Santa Rosa Beach area
for four years,
but our professional experience extends long before that. Our key
cinematographer
has been shooting professionally for more than 40 years. This also includes
news footage for WTOP Evening News (CBS) in Washington, DC.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A:
Our videos are shot and edited on digital, broadcast-quality equipment.
Using SONY DSR-PD150 & DSR-PD170 DV and DCR-TRV30's digital cameras for most
weddings. We record 16 bit digital audio to provide CD-quality sound for
our videos. We edit on Sony VAIO 2.66 Mhz. computers using
Sony's Vegas 6.0 and DVD Architect software.
Q: Have you
ever had a camera fail during an event?
A: No. But since we shoot with three cameras we always have a
spare.
Q: What if the videographer gets sick or can't
make it?
A:
We have never left a bride and groom stranded without a
videographer. In the
event that something happens to the videographer assigned to your wedding,
We will make every effort to book a replacement at no additional cost to you.
We will then take the video shot that day and edit it using the same post-
production standards that our clients have come to expect.
